World Peace Centre
The World Center for Peace, Freedoms and Human Rights is located in the prestigious episcopal palace of Verdun, which Saint-Simon called, in his memoirs, "the most splendid episcopal palace that there is in France" .
Designed in 1724 by Robert de Cotte, first architect of Louis XV, the patella access, the courtyard, gardens, state rooms today make it one of the jewels of French classical art.
For 20 years, it has been a memorial center of excellence (14-18 and Franco-German), a place of exhibitions, an area of meetings and exchanges (conferences, concerts, literary events ...)
It is also a business tourism player with its reception halls of 20 to 300 seats, including:
- The audience room, ideal for organizing receptions and seminars
- The vaulted room that can accommodate 100 people for a conference or projection
- A dining room
- A collective accommodation (opening forecast in 2016)
The World Center for Peace, Freedoms and Human Rights has a rich and varied shop (more than 600 references). The theme 14-18 is very present. The bookshop section (400 references) offers a wide selection of novels, specialized works, testimonials, comics ... adapted to adults and young audiences. Derivatives dedicated to the Centenary, some exclusives made in Meuse complement the choice given to visitors.
